Oh and I should mention that when I first made my reservation I specifically called to reserve and paid the extra few bucks to avoid being charged right away since my plans were still up in the air - I was immediately charged over $600 despite being reassured by the phone rep minutes earlier that I would not be, and it took a week and over 2 hours of calls to the hotel to get my money refunded (including a person at the hotel who said they’d check in with a manager and to call back if I didn’t hear anything from them by the following Monday which was FIVE DAYS AWAY). They did not have regular room service unless requested, so we requested a trash pickup after day 2 (we stayed 4 nights) and we put it near the door but nobody came to get it. Also no natural light in our room - depressing and disconcerting.

Somebody was playing piano in the lobby at 11pm, which was 100% audible from rooms with windows facing in, and I called the front desk to ask if they could stop it and they said they were just about to ask but the playing continued for hours. The lighting in our bathroom was the most terrible lighting I’ve ever seen - at least we knew we’d look better anywhere else. The toilet was not properly secured and made a loud noise whenever you stood up. The tub in our room didn’t drain well and after a 15 minute shower there was a good 3-4 inches of water accumulated. It is run down, ugly, dark, outdated, multiple toilets always broken down in common areas, not regularly vacuumed. I was here for an event and it was probably cheaper for them than other venues - otherwise I have no idea why they’d choose it.
